Travel Blog of Albee Travel offers you a sneak preview of assistance and different options that are offered on this website. I have tried to take a page of what each country offers you and advise what might be best for you. A travel blog of each destination that I have personally traveled to so I this travel blog is from different ideas from a locals prospective.

Planning a travel can be daunting, but there is always something extra to find out, whether a tour, accommodation or sight to see.

A prime examples are accommodations in New Zealand offering nature walks to see the native sealife that is seen in the area, or how about an overnight tour on a fjord that is only accessible by water or air. For a true wildlife experience the lower west coast of the South Island offers a chance to view New Zealand's sea wildlife, but if you did not know where it is easy to drive right past it. For another experience with wine, did you know that there are wine regions the length of New Zealand, even around Queenstown where grapes are growing out of desert like ground, or on a island just 40 minutes ride from downtown Auckland. How about activities, there is caving in both islands, or visitng a glowworm grotto to best describe it as being the Milky way of glowing worms underground.

In Australia how about a walk to see Australian wildlife within a short drive or a major city, or an accommodation in the midst of the outback or rainforest. I have visited every state and territory within Australia and have some of my Australian pictures on the website. Australia is such a huge country to visit and flying is the only way to get between major cities within 1-3 hours flight. But there are wonderful driving routes where there are interesting stops along the way. The Great Ocean Road is a good example and most people travel from Melbourne on a day trip; But how about spending a couple of extra days and driving through to Adelaide, the gateway to wineries and the wildlife of Kangaroo Island.

In Tahiti a 5 star resort situated on its own island or the cost eating in Tahiti are the hidden examples. This is where my assistance is able to help you out plan not just a vacation, but able to give you memories of such a wonderful destination that you did not think was possible. The variety of islands and bungalows are unique unto themselves which have something special for all. Each island is very unique to themselves with Moorea being mountainous and taking 3-5 hours to drive around. Yet Bora Bora main island only takes 30 minutes, but with that amazing lagoon with motus (small islands) scattered around the outside of Bora Bora then it will take you longer to travel.

Independent Travel

Independent travel offers an opportunity to meet the locals on their ground, allows time for you to “open” your eyes, and a way to discover another country’s culture. I will always remember the food shop in Cairo, even when we could not speak each others’ language, the shopkeeper and I had a mutual respect which left me with a wonderful experience.

Although independent travel is not for everyone, a little independence in a vacation can leave a lasting impression. A chance meeting can also be a positive feature. I remember clients who stayed in Tahiti for 3 nights, and started talking with the airport transfer person. The next day they went on a Tahiti island tour, met his family and enjoyed a meal in his home. The funny thing was that they said to me before they left that they did not know what they were going to do!

Spontaneity can be also a wonderful feature of independent travel. This is why I always plan a free day while on an independent travel vacation. It not only allows time for a relaxing moment, but an experience if you have a chance meeting or a walk by activity.

Independent travel is New Zealand offers such an opportunity by two different types. First are the independent bus tours. It is like a coach transfer between the towns and cities of New Zealand, but when you arrive at the hotel you are by yourselves, free to explore. It is then you will enjoy the Independent travel of New Zealand in style.

Secondly, New Zealand has the self drive independent vacation. This is with either one or a mixture of the following accommodations; Bed and Breakfast, hotels and New Zealand Lodges and the later is becoming more and more popular. It is here that knowing the locations of the lodges that with not all that much more money from a hotel or Bed and Breakfast, that you can enjoy the best of a New Zealand lodge. They also have wonderful options such as New Zealand native forest and wildlife walks.

Australian independent travel is also popular in Australia, but there are not the Australian Self drive independent travel opportunities as much as in New Zealand independent travel. There are, however still places within Australia with Australian Self Drive independent travel can be possibility. The Great Ocean Road between Melbourne and Adelaide is the most popular and then the Princess Highway between Melbourne and Sydney offers a longer travel.

Given that I have traveled around the world twice independently and I have seen the enjoyable and the not so enjoyable parts of the travel. It is also my personal favorite way to travel; but not for everyone.
